Let me introduce you to the August Sisters: Hannah and Sara-Anne Waggoner. These two sisters born in August, have a passion for creating one-of-a-kind handmade accessories. But their creativity doesn't stop there! They provide content creation services for other brands, specializing in videos for Reels, TikTok, and Product Photography. As they pursue their creative careers, they are busy building a unique brand that reflects their artistic design and style.

Community means everything to us at The August Sisters. We go beyond selling products—we want to create a brand that unites people and celebrates our unique differences. Our customers are a constant source of inspiration, and we love highlighting their creativity. Our goal is to build a thriving community where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged to express themselves.

Hannah is a digital marketer and designer who calls Chattanooga, TN, her home. In addition to her creative pursuits, Hannah got her license as an esthetician in 2018, showcasing her passion for aesthetics in all aspects of her life. The love for beauty and style runs deep in her family, inherited from a lineage of artistic women. She has a background in fine arts and graduated from UAGC in marketing.

During high school, Hannah discovered her love for handmaking and began sewing her clothes. Her great-grandmother, a skilled seamstress, passed down this art to her.

Embracing her entrepreneurial spirit, Hannah embarked on her first business venture known as HanMade Maker. Through this endeavor, she worked closely with clients, designing and crafting custom pieces, including bridesmaid dresses, elegant formal attire, and wedding dress.

Driven by a desire to collaborate with her sister, Sara-Anne, the two creatives joined forces and established their brand, The August Sisters.

The August Sisters represent their shared journey, offering a unique perspective and creative vision. With Hannah's deep knowledge of digital marketing and design, alongside Sara-Anne's artistic talents and photography skills, their brand captivates and inspires.

"I always dreamt of owning my own company, and doing it with my sister is a dream come true. Our mother taught us to be unique and march to our drums, and that's exactly what we do. Standing out and wearing statement accessories is so fun. Growing up with school uniforms fueled our love for expressing ourselves through accessories. It has shaped us into the vibrant women we are today. Colors bring us joy, and we fully embrace them.

Sara-Anne is an artist living and working in Chattanooga, TN. She graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BFA in Photo Media Arts. She works with the mediums of photography, set design, filmmaking, and accessory design. In her work, themes of surrealism, time, multiple realities, and beauty creates a juxtaposition between distress and confusion, nostalgia and memory, past and present. 

Having collaborated with renowned musicians such as Lola Kirke, Talia Stewart, TAELA, Love You Later, Nordista Freeze, Seint Monet, Bindy, Marisa Maino, and many others, Sara-Anne has made a notable impact in the music industry. Her contributions range from album art and promotional materials to captivating Spotify Canvas designs, enhancing the visual representation and branding of these musicians.

In addition to her work with musicians, Sara-Anne has embraced the world of product photography, specializing in creating visually captivating imagery with smaller-scale set designs. Her meticulous attention to detail, honed through her background in set design, allows her to craft compelling visual narratives that elevate the presentation of various products.

Driven by a passion for collaboration, Sara-Anne continues to push the boundaries of her artistic pursuits. Whether it's through her photography, set design, product photography, videography, or short-form video production, she consistently delivers high-quality visuals that captivate audiences, tell compelling stories, and elevate the brands and musicians she collaborates with.
